Niagara Falls breaks world record for most people dressed as the sun

A total of 309 people gathered on a Niagara Falls cruise ship to break the record, originally set in 2020 by 287 participants of China Life Insurance Company Limited in Guangzho, China.

Dressed in red raincoats and big yellow suns, hundreds of people gathered together on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls on Monday (April 8) to break a Guinness World record for a gathering of people dressed as the sun.

A total of 309 people gathered on a Niagara Falls cruise ship to break the record, originally set in 2020 by 287 participants of China Life Insurance Company Limited in Guangzho, China.

The record was set to coincide with the first total solar eclipse to grace North America in seven years, drawing millions of skywatchers gazing upward for the start of a celestial display at least partially visible across most of the continent.
