Strong winds carry away 'limited' number of health records in PEI

Most of the documents were retrieved, officials say.

Some inactive health records were blown away by strong winds in PEI Wednesday morning, according to a statement by the health agency.

"The records involved were no longer active and may have contained limited information about individuals who are now deceased," reads an excerpt from the statement.

"Staff took immediate steps to respond to the incident and were able to retrieve most of the affected records."

Residents who come across any missing documents are asked to call the Charlottetown offices of Health PEI or call 902-569-7734.
