After the numerous significant rainfall events across parts of Canada this summer, one might assume that the allergy season would not be as severe as it has turned out to be. However, to the dismay of those affected, an unexpected factor has emerged as a surprising cause behind these recent flare-ups.
In the video above, Rachel Schoutsen from The Weather Network speaks with Dawn Jurgens, the Director of Operations at Aerobiology Research Laboratories, who sheds light on why mushrooms might be particularly troublesome for allergy sufferers this time of year.
