Five ski hills in Canada that you might not have heard of
Canada is home to some of the highest-rated ski resorts in the world
Hitting the slopes sometimes involves crowds that can slow down your day, so here are five ski hills in Canada that could help you avoid long lineups.
CRABBE MOUNTAIN, NEW BRUNSWICK

First up we go east where you only have to travel 45 min north of Fredericton to enjoy some of the best terrains in Atlantic Canada. At 260 metres, Crabbe Mountain boasts the largest and highest vertical drop in the Maritimes.
CALABOGIE PEAKS RESORT, ONTARIO

When you think of skiing in Ontario, Blue Mountain Resort probably comes to mind first since it is one of the most popular destinations. If you’re looking for a quieter experience or you’re a beginner, consider Calabogie Peaks. It offers the longest beginner trail in Ontario, but don’t worry, there are also plenty of intermediate and advanced runs too.
SKI BROMONT, QUEBEC

The next stop is Quebec. While Ski Bromont is well known, it is not as famous as Mont Tremblant. If night skiing is your thing, you’ll be saying “oui” to skiing at Bromont, which boasts the largest lighted area of any ski resort in North America.

You can’t think of Alberta skiing without the spectacular views at Banff National Park, which is home to the Big Three, but why not change it up and take the chair lift up the only resort in Jasper National Park? Marmot Basin might not be as easiest or quickest to get to, but it’s hills are certainly worth the trip!

Lastly, Canada and the world know that Whistler Blackcomb is an amazing world-class facility, but there are so many other hills in B.C. that are worthy of your carving skills.
