Here's some adorable video to kick-start your week.
Two white baby squirrels were recently spotted playing alongside a (presumed) sibling in a tree in Elora, Ontario. The footage was shot on June 1 by a Weather Network viewer named Karry.
While white squirrels aren't common, you may come across one from time to time.
Experts say there are a few conditions that can cause this unusual (lack) of color. The squirrels in the video above may be leucistic i.e., their surface cells aren't capable of making pigment, and not likely albino.
ALSO IN ANIMALS:
The key difference is their eye color. Albino animals tend to have red or pink eyes while leucistic animals do not.
Leucism can be found in most breeds of animals -- from horses to lions, to peacocks.
