Dog swept away by tornado in Alberta finds her way home
A small kitten was also found in the debris
A family dog named Belle was able to find her way home after being swept away by a tornado that struck near Carmangay in southern Alberta on July 18.
The dog returned unhurt and happily wagged her tail as her family greeted her outside, which is shown in the video below.
Several other animals on the property managed to survive the storm. A kitten was found crying out for help from under a pile of debris, who was later saved by Weather Network reporter Kyle Brittain. After he saved the kitten, a crying calf is seen running towards him after its bottle feeder was broken by the storm.

This powerful twister was given an official tornado confirmation by Environment Canada, who gave it a preliminary rating of EF-1, with winds in the 138–177 km/h range.
During this tornado a garage shop was destroyed, a bale stacker was tossed approximately 200 metres, and a large tree branch became impaled in the wall of a house.
