The monarch butterfly has been an endangered species since 2016 following an 80 percent population reduction compared to data from the 1990s.

Experts are sounding the alarm on the heartbreaking possibility that the species may become extinct in our lifetime.

Many factors have contributed to the decline of the monarch butterfly, but there is one easy way you can help - and it's a low-cost, effective, and low-effort solution - all you have to do is plant some milkweed.
