Easy trick to give your hydrangeas a dazzling colour swap
You've planted your hydrangeas and they're looking striking in pink, but what if you prefer a pretty shade of blue? The Weather Network reporter Nathan Coleman has a simple colour-changing trick.
While pink hydrangeas are enchanting to look at, perhaps you're looking for a change in appearance. No problem.
Instead of pink, how about a beautiful blue? It is possible. The colour of the plant is based on the pH level of the soil it was grown in. The more alkaline the soil is, the more pink the hydrangeas will be.
If you like them blue, here's what to do. You will need to increase the acidity in the soil in order to change the colour, but instead of buying a pre-made mixture to do it, we have a simple hack that makes it a much more enjoyable process.
