Ontario. It's home to more than 85 billion trees.
And it's beautiful year-round, but it's especially spectacular during the fall. One of Ontario's most popular places to take in fall scenery is in Algonquin Park, because its geography provides a special advantage.
Teresa Golver, Algonquin Provincial Park
"With the higher elevation, we get the colder days and the frost a little bit earlier," explains Rick Stronks, chief park naturalist at Algonquin Provincial Park.
Francisco Lanfranco, Algonquin Provincial Park
"This often triggers the leaves to turn and [you] get those bright, vibrant colours."
But Algonquin can be busy this time of year, especially on the weekends and later in the day.
Mutou Yiu, Arrowhead Provincial Park
Fortunately, Fall colours are everywhere, and the entire province is brimming with trees.
Brenda Mackenzie, Mikisew Provincial Park
