Take in Ontario's beautiful fall colours this Thanksgiving

Ontario. It's home to more than 85 billion trees.
And it's beautiful year-round, but it's especially spectacular during the fall. One of Ontario's most popular places to take in fall scenery is in Algonquin Park, because its geography provides a special advantage.

"With the higher elevation, we get the colder days and the frost a little bit earlier," explains Rick Stronks, chief park naturalist at Algonquin Provincial Park.

"This often triggers the leaves to turn and [you] get those bright, vibrant colours."
But Algonquin can be busy this time of year, especially on the weekends and later in the day.
