Halloween: More chilly tricks than pleasant treats in store for Canada
Most trick-or-treaters will need to be dressed warmly in their costumes on Halloween as much of the country will be under a chilly spell, but some areas will luck out with Mother Nature on their side
Most of the country can expect Halloween to go uninterrupted, giving the trick-or-treaters a howling good time, and hopefully, lots of candy.
While there will be a relative lack of active weather for most of Canada on Tuesday evening, it will still be on the cool side for a good portion of folks, so dress accordingly.
However, Canada’s trickiest weather may occur in Eastern Canada as a system traverses through the region.
Farther west, the snowbelts of the Great Lakes in Ontario could see some snow-showers as the lake-effect snow machine cranks up in time for the start of November.
There will be some regions that will be better off.
B.C.’s South Coast is looking to get the biggest atmospheric treat as a ridge settling over the West Coast looks to send evening temperatures above-seasonal on Tuesday. The little ones on the Prairies, however, will need to bundle up as evening conditions drop into the single-digits in some locations across Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
Good news for Alberta, as some milder air looks to flush in just in time for Halloween.
