The government of Canada has a #floodready campaign to help those impacted by flood damage.
The guide includes first steps, ways to protect your properly, as well as how to prepare an emergency tool kit.

OTTAWA, ONTARIO:
Ontario has a flood forecasting and warning program, which prepare provincial and local authorities in the event of a flood. The website includes alerts, a flood map, as well as a map of all the affected districts.
Your local conservation authority is responsible for local flood messaging.
Your local municipality is responsible for on-the-ground flood response.
Please call emergency services (9-11) if you see flooding in an area that is not monitored by civil authorities.

For urgent matters, contact Ottawa’s 3-11 service, which is available 24 hours. They also have an online report portal.

QUÉBEC
Urgence Québec is encouraging citizens who are leaving the city due to flooding to let their municipality know by leaving a note in their mailbox, with the date and time of their departure.
The website also gives tips on how to prepare an emergency kit.
