Wind turns man holding umbrella into real life Mary Poppins
Gusting winds were strong enough to lift a large umbrella and a man three to four metres into the air
Shocking footage shows the moment that powerful winds lifted a man into the air as he was trying to secure a large umbrella.
The hair-raising scene occurred in the southern Turkish city of Osmaniye at a wholesale market hall, and the footage was released by a local grocery man, Ismet Icoz, who is seen in the video.
Icoz is shown running to help secure the umbrella to prevent it from falling over, however the winds had other plans.
One of the men attempting to stabalize the umbrella, Sadik Kocadalli, tries to stand on the base of the umbrella, but was not heavy enough to weigh it down and was then carried away into the wind.
In an interview with Reuters, Icoz says that Kocadalli jumped off of the umbrella's base after being lifted three to four metres into the air, which caused him to sustain a minor ankle injury. Another man was injured and taken to the hospital when the airborne umbrella fell on him.
